How We Work With You
Brownlow Building
We don't wing projects. We run them through a clear, staged process so expectations are set early and nothing drifts.
Each phase has a purpose, and each handover is deliberate.
Initial Enquiry
We start with a direct conversation. We talk about what you're trying to achieve, your timeframe, and whether the project is realistically a good fit.
If we're not the right builder for the job, we'll tell you early. If we are, we move forward properly.
Site Inspection
Mark attends the site to inspect existing conditions and understand how the space actually works, not just how it looks on paper.
This stage is about identifying constraints, risks, and opportunities before numbers are discussed. Anything likely to affect scope, compliance, or cost is raised here, not halfway through the build.
Design & Planning
Once the brief is clear, we refine the plan.
This may include 3D visualisation, layout adjustments, and discussions around materials and finishes. You're involved in these decisions because assumptions are what cause problems later.
Nothing moves forward until everyone is aligned.
Quoting
We prepare a fixed-price quote based on a clearly defined scope and specifications.
This is not a placeholder quote designed to "get started". It's priced to reflect the actual work required so the build can run without constant variations and friction.
If something isn't defined at this stage, it's discussed and resolved before you sign.
Pre-Construction
Once the contract is signed, the focus shifts to execution.
We finalise selections, confirm trade availability, and lock in the construction schedule. You're given access to your BuildExact client portal, where you can view the program, updates, documents, and communication in one place.
This phase exists to remove uncertainty before work begins.
Construction
James takes control of the site and manages the project day to day.
He coordinates trades, materials, sequencing, compliance, and progress to keep the job moving in line with the agreed program. Decisions are made early to avoid delays.
Throughout construction, you receive:
- • Ongoing site updates and photos through the portal
- • A weekly written update outlining what's been completed and what's next
- • Early notice if anything changes, with a clear explanation
Katie remains involved throughout, maintaining continuity between the office and the site so information doesn't get lost.
Handover
Before handover, we carry out final internal inspections to ensure the work meets the agreed standard.
Any items identified are addressed before the project is signed off. We then walk you through the completed works, provide relevant documentation, and make sure you're comfortable with the outcome.
The job isn't finished when we leave site. It's finished when it's right.
